Identity Pop!

New Location:
DOWN THE ROAD (Campus Center)

12pm-1pm

This week’s topic:
Bard: More Than Just a Place to Think

Join us on Facebook!

Thinking about race, identity, sexuality, and other identities and how to talk about them? Feeling confused or just wanting to have more discussion? Identities are a constant subject of popular culture, but does this have anything to do with our lives at Bard when so much of the language of social media and web-realities takes place far from academic niceties? Where do our identities and selves really live? And what and who are we, really? Identity Pop is a space for questions, puzzles, Youtube videos, websites, anecdotes, or anything else for a weekly, informal discussion on identity. Instead of solutions, we’ll have discussions and explorations. No topics are off limits, but we do want to have a space that is safe and welcoming.

Bring friends, bring questions, your favorite (or least favorite) Youtube video, or just show up to chat.
